I’m work obsessed because

I like the parts of my life that can make sense to someone else after less than an hour of explanation.

Thankyou Mr President

The West Wing makes me repeatedly cry. (actual tears - I am not kidding, this is several times each episode)

Mostly because I have long since given up on the following:

1. Wise, educated & honest people who are still in touch with their ideals (and who ever had them) being in power anywhere in the western world
2. Such people being in politics at all really
3. Such people being surrounded by public servants of the same leanings
4. A single western nation that acts globally with a conscience
5. Any sign whatsoever of global environmental responsibility from the US of A-grade oil company funded federal election campaigns.
6. Any possible way this might be achieved in the current world of irresponsible, vapid media soundbyteism.

And the guy I used to be never gave up on anything that was right and should be no matter how badly it isn’t. It really honestly hurts me personally, deeply and a great deal to see actors simulating what I’ve given up on ever seeing in the real world. But I can’t stop *Watching* it
